Taf Construction Company Ltd (TCL) was formed.

Original focus - dwelling units for private and small scaled business organisations.

The increased boom in tourism development facilitated by the unlimited tourism potential of The Gambia at the time prompted the need for the expansion of TAF Construction Company Ltd into the tourism industry in 1994. 

In this respect TAFBEL Maisonettes, the Tourism wing has developed a 200 bed 4-star hotel commonly known as Tafbel, built by TAF Construction Ltd and which catered for both tourists and business travellers. 

The company had diverted its interest in Tafbel so as to concentrate on its core activity of construction, estate development and building materials supplies.

Over time, TCL established different business entities, which compliment each other. Each entity within TAF occupies a prominent position in its respective sector of operation. 

In order to streamline the management structure of all these entities, TAF HOLDING COMPANY (THC) was incorporated in 1998

In 2000, Taf Holding Company Limited ventured into large-scale housing development code-named “OPERATION HOUSE THE NATION”. With this project, two sites were allocated to us for the development of low, middle and high- income houses.

The first site (YARAMBAMBA HOUSING ESTATE in YUNDUM) comprises of two hundred and ten (210).

The second is the BRUFUT GARDENS in BRUFUT, which comprises of 500 high- income houses and apartment buildings with roads, electricity, water and public amenities.

In January 2006 Taf was contracted by the Government of The Gambia to design, construct and furnished 52 Villas to the highest quality and standards to suit the needs of 52 African Presidents coming to attend the forthcoming AU Summit to be held here in the Gambia in June and July of 2006

The RIVTAF Golf Estate was born – a well master planned and tastefully built estate sitting on 40 hectares of land in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. This is a bespoke transformation of about 40 hectares of swampy and inaccessible land into a piece of heaven on earth which is also the largest functional luxury estate that has been delivered/developed in the South-Southern part of Nigeria. The estate has over 1,200 homes with facilities such as a golf course, water reticulation system, underground electrical infrastructure, sewage treatment systems, safe environment for kids and families, a club house and a well-designed shopping mall.

In 2015 TAF Rwanda Homes, TAF Senegal Homes, TAF Cameroon Homes was  registered in a vision to build 1 million homes in sub-regional Africa within 20 years.

In 2017, Taf Holding Company was renamed Taf Africa Global Ltd and registered in Dubai as the 

parent company of 8 subsidiary companies in 8 African countries namely Gambia, Nigeria, Senegal, Rwanda, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Togo, Mozambique. 

In 2018, Taf Africa Global completed the DALABA Housing Estate consisting of 374 affordable houses which were built and delivered in 2 years. The Dalaba housing estate is a beautiful gated community strategically located along the newly constructed Sukuta Jabang highway and it is 10 minutes’ drive from the Senegambia strip and 15 minutes’ drive from the Banjul International Airport. 

Two other residential estates namely Tulip Gardens and Murraya Gardens were launched in The Gambia in 2020 comprising of 600 units and 20 units respectively.

TAF's biggest project so far was launch - TAF City is an eco-smart city designed to be a live, work and play city. TAF City is targeted to be developed on about 500 hectares of land which is twice the current size of Banjul the capital city of The Gambia. It is a phased city development located in Kombo South between the villages of Gunjur and Sifoe from the main road to Allahein river, which is the border between The Gambia and Senegal. It is a 30-minute drive from the Banjul International Airport.

Launched the TAF Salone Micro City in Sierra Leone

Launched the Greater TAF City in Nigeria - a 20,000 homes project in the heart of Port Harcourt Nigeria in partnership with the Rivers State Government.
